The Essence of Her Life
Pamela Rene Hairston Mack
On May 24, 1961, the Lord blessed Ocivian Ray Hairston and BettyJean Hairston with
the birth of Pamela Rene Hairston , a divine gift from His infinite wisdom. Ms. Pamela
was born in Roanoke, Virginia. She grew up in the Glorious Churches of God in Christ,
where she sang in the choir and led several solos. She was a member of the Peace,
Love, and Joy Gospel Group as well as the Perry Lindsey Ensemble. During her time in
Roanoke Virginia, Pam also directed the children's choir. She eventually relocated
to Atlanta, Georgia, where she joined Citadel of Hope, under the leadership of Nathan L
Simmons, and sang in the choir and praise team. She later furthered her walk with
Christ and joined Total Victory Worship Center, where the leader is Angelic D.
Simmons.
Ms. Pamela Rene Hairston received a formal education at Round Hill Elementary
School, Lucy Addison Middle School and matriculated from William Fleming High
School in 1979. Pamela had bright plans for her future. Upon graduating from High
School she attended the National Business College, Virginia Western College, and
Westwood College in criminal justice. This sparked her interest in unsolved mysteries,
CSI, and all things law, in which she watched faithfully.
With a victorious trail of education Pamela continued to work hard and did not cease
until she saw the fruits of her labor. Pam was employed with Geiger Herman Miller (8
Years) , Fulton County Law Library ( 7 years) , and Dekalb County Jail (6 Years). With a
big heart for children, Pamela also served as a volunteer with The National CASA/GAL
program that helps advocate for children and youth in the foster system. She had a
special bond with her nieces and nephews and never missed a chance at encouraging
them to be better.
Pamela was a fashionista and her love for high fashion was no secret. She
adored designing and sewing clothing, creating hats from scratch, Lap scarves, and
handkerchiefs. She would often make pageant dresses for her daughter and also
appear in fashion shows. Creativity flowed through her, naming her a jack of all
trades. Pamela was also an amazing artist who loved to draw and paint masterpieces.
In her spare time, she enjoyed floral arranging and decorating for various events. Her
heart for traveling kept her at the beach and visiting her family in Virginia. She had big
dreams of visiting Paris, France.
On August 3, 2023 Pamela Rene Hairston gave God her yes and entered into
